Marina in the city is always beautiful. And in Sochi, this beauty is complemented by the building of the sea station with a slender spire - the most recognizable landmark of the resort. Let's find out more about her!
The sea terminal was built in 1955 in the style of post-war classicism. Despite the monumentality, the building turned out to be light and not at all pompous. It is very reminiscent of the St. Petersburg Admiralty, especially the spire.
Pay attention to the aerial galleries of the central facade, allegorical sculptures of the seasons and cardinal points on the tower, and an elegant rotunda. Be sure to look inside the station - there is a beautiful clock in the waiting room, decorated with stucco molding.
Next to the building there is a park with tropical plants, in the middle of which there is a fountain "Navigation". Nearby there are sculptures of the heroes of the film "The Diamond Arm", one of the scenes of which was filmed in the port.
The seaport is a pleasant place for a promenade, especially in the evening. I advise you to come closer to sunset and take a boat trip or just take a walk and take beautiful photos in regime light. See where else you can take a walk in Sochi.
By the way, the only thing that annoys the port is annoying invitations to sea trips. We asked about the prices: 1 hour in a group of 10 people costs 1000 ₽, and an individual walk with the captain - 3000 ₽.
From the port you can sail on the steamer "Prince Vladimir" to Sevastopol and Yalta, as well as ships to Batumi and Trabzon.
