Well, dear readers, another article entitled 'One day in Sochi' from Irina, who often reads my blog, decided to share her impressions of what she saw, so if you have the same thoughts or impressions, you can express them right here with me on the blog, such articles give many answers not only to beginners in the field of sore questions in a certain direction, but also provide an opportunity for self-expression, go for it, write, it is very interesting! By the way, at the end of the article you can buy cheap plane tickets to Sochi.

I was looking at old photographs on my computer - and suddenly I saw that very cherished folder with the inscription “Sochi”. Everything stirred in my soul, I remembered that February 2013 when we walked the streets of Sochi, breathing the Olympic air of our victories.

We managed to get tickets for speed skating. They ordered a small, private hotel - in Adler, as I still remember - on Prosvescheniya Street. A luxurious, yet unusual for us, double-decker train brought us to Sochi with great comfort. There was an amazing feeling that everyone was going to one common holiday, although in fact it was so - almost all passengers went to the Olympics to cheer for ours and see how we were able to prepare the city and the Olympic facilities for real?

Sochi did not disappoint our hopes. From the first minutes of arrival, the feeling of childish happiness only intensified. We walked around a strange city as if we had lived here all our lives. Smiling, friendly volunteers seemed to emerge from the most unexpected places, helping to navigate. The locals were no less good-natured. You could just talk on the bus with a person on any topic. It would seem that many visitors could annoy them. But it never happened. From time to time, in different transport, there were conversations about who had come from and where people from Sochi were happy to talk about their city.

We went to the Olympic Village by train and then walked. Small but pleasant oddities continued to follow us! Imagine carriages fully occupied by crowds of people from different countries and nationalities, an unimaginable polyphonic hubbub in different languages, many large and small flags of different countries! Someone sang songs, a group of Chinese tried to speak Russian, Americans joyfully poked their fingers at the windows, others just sat, absorbing all this impression. But there was not a single sad or displeased face!

All this excited crowd also moved in the same direction - to the competition. The scope and beauty of the Olympic venues was overwhelming. It is impossible to imagine that all these miraculous buildings were built in such a short time from scratch, made so beautifully, majestically and functionally at the same time. In the same way, people walked around in shock - and cameras clicked continuously.

The competition took place in the Adler Arena, where everything was done for spectators and athletes. Ice glistened with smooth surface, everything was perfectly visible and audible. Even if our girls did not take first place, we were rooting for them with no less enthusiasm!

After the competition, we walked around the Olympic Village with pleasure and trepidation, realizing that we were able to become “participants” in a great event that, perhaps, would never return to Russia during our lifetime. Everywhere athletes were in a hurry, tourists shared their impressions and the huge wonderful world of the Russian Olympics lived its own life. And above all this, the torch of the Olympic flame towered, which remained to burn quite a bit.

To feel all the extraordinary joy, pride and even euphoria, one had to walk through these lands, see the beauty and feel its spirit. I'm not sure if I had enough words to describe everything I saw. But the impressions remained for a lifetime.

Getting to the hotel, we walked for a long time from the station, enjoying the thaw and discussing our impressions. Surprisingly, it was quiet and calm around. The police met, on foot bypassing the private sector.

We arrived late enough, realizing that there was nothing to count on for dinner. But to our great surprise, we were offered several delicious dishes, which were brought to the room at our request without any problems. Sochi residents continued to delight with their hospitality.

The next day the airport was waiting for us. We were leaving the place of miracles and a sports festival. Just one day in Olympic Sochi, but I am sure that it will remain in our memory for the rest of our lives! Two years passed, but the memories did not fade in the least. And it seems that the Olympic Village is still waiting for us. The trip to the Olympic Games was something fabulous and unique, everyone who was there will understand me.
