In the south of Russia, you need to rest in September. I have traveled to our resorts many times, and believe me, I know perfectly well how their appearance changes depending on the season. In July and August, there is pandemonium, crush, noise, din, crush, and it gets too hot. But as soon as autumn comes into its own, the resorts are transformed: the army of vacationers is thinning before our eyes and only the most sophisticated tourists who know a lot about rest in our south remain. Summer vacation at sea in Russia can be disappointing, in September - never.
The weather is fine. The summer heat has already passed, during the day +24 ... + 26 ° С, at night + 15 ° С, and the water in the sea is +23 ... + 25 ° С. Swimming is comfortable even at the end of the month - checked.

Of course, rains can spoil the rest, which subjugates the Northern capital to their power just with the arrival of autumn, but such is the local climate. But on fine September days it will be especially pleasant to walk in wonderful parks, gardens and suburbs of St. Petersburg. I was convinced of this personally, traveling in Karelia and Kola last year. I really liked those parts, and the endless meadows of blueberries, blueberries and lingonberries just drove me crazy. My companions had to drag me away from such feasts by force. If you are also a lover of berries and mushrooms, then September Karelia will win your heart once and for all. Although its resorts are far behind their Black Sea counterparts in terms of infrastructure, it is much cheaper to relax here, and sandy beaches and shallow waters are ideal for children. The most popular resorts are Yeysk, Kuchugury, Golubitskaya, Taganrog.
However, there is one unpleasant nuance. The shallow Sea of Azov warms up already at the beginning of summer, but cools down just as quickly with the arrival of autumn, so it is better to plan a vacation in the first half of the month.
